What should a web site accomplish and why do you need one?

Just having a web site isn't enough. When someone comes to your web site they should easily be able to find out:

  • Who you are,
  • What you do and how long you've been doing it
  • What you can do for them
  • Where you are located and how you can be contacted
  • A portfolio of your work with photos and addresses, if appropriate.

For example, If you own a restaurant:

  • What is your background?
  • What kind of food do you provide?
  • Are you upscale or family-style?
  • What is your pricing structure
  • Do you serve local wines?

All of these questions should be answered by your web site. The web site should also have an example of your menu, a winelist and some photos of your food and interiors.

Why do you need me to design it for you?

I find many websites lack this information. There are also many businesses that don't have any web presence at all.

In this day and age it is imperative that your business have an online presence in order to be successful. The web is the first place people go when searching for someone to do a job for them. Whether it's a restaurant; to cook them a meal, a lighting company; to design and install lighting or a contractor to design a landscape.

No matter what a person is looking for he/she comes to the internet ready to buy. If you have a well designed professional web site then anyone can find what they're looking for any time of the day or night.

The days of using the phone book are over. People no longer let their fingers do the walking through the yellow pages. They plug a search term into Google and hit enter. If your site doesn't show up on the first or, at the most, second page of that list, they won't find you. If they find your page but don't find what they want within 2 or 3 clicks then they'll go to the next page on the search list.

If you aren't in that list, they won't find you.

I can help you become a part of that list.
